About the author:

My research interests pertain broadly to assessing interactions of individuals’ neurobiology, especially stress physiology, with their environments, and how culture moderates this relationship in at-risk populations in low-income countries. A particular interest of mine pertains to the bioecocultural processes of risk and resilience in adolescent mothers and their offspring.

What I want to achieve:

I want to deepen our understanding of how children and youth develop and learn in non-WEIRD contexts, and how the embodiment of stress and adversity can be countered by identifying and supporting culturally and contextually relevant sources of resilience.
