About the author:

My research focuses on understanding early childhood inequalities by exploring the relationship between parental education and parental time investments in children. I generally use time diary data, which collects information on respondent’s activities for a 24hour period. My work has shown a growing disparity between the childcare time of more and less educated parents.

What I want to achieve:

This study should make us reconsider a sometimes simplistic approach to policy that emphasizes intensive developmental time with children, no matter what the psychological cost to parents – and possibly to children as well.
