Douglas H. Clements
Professor, Kennedy Endowed Chair in Early Childhood Learning, and co-Director, Kennedy Institute for Educational Success and Marsico Institute for Early Learning and Literacy at Morgridge College of Education, University of Denver, USAAbout the author:
I conduct research in the areas of the learning and teaching of early mathematics and computer applications in mathematics education. My most recent interests are in creating, using, and evaluating a research-based curriculum and in taking successful curricula to scale using technologies and learning trajectories.
What I want to achieve:
Along with Julie Sarama, I have built educational environments that have helped young children move from confusion to comprehension in mathematics, experiencing mathematics activity as meaningful and joyful. I want to make this type of experience common among each and every child, especially those most at risk, while maintaining an impact that is both sustainable and scalable.
