I am interested in programs and policies that affect child and youth development in the areas of immigration, early childhood development, and sexuality. I conduct work in the U.S. and in low- and middle-income countries. Recently I have been addressing the role of developmental science in achieving the 2015–2030 Global Sustainable Development Goals.
What I want to achieve:
Advances in the science of human development, in the context of culture, everyday settings, and policy implementation, can make a difference in community change and public policy. I am interested in leveraging the power of this science to maximize the developmental potential of the next generation to create a more sustainable world.
