About the author:
I am interested in how social and cultural experience contribute to the development of thinking. I have done research on children’s learning in- and outside of school, understanding of water and food contamination in Sub-Saharan Africa, and cognitive development during cultural change.
What I want to achieve:
The purpose of my research and teaching is to help others understand the complexity and wonder of children’s thinking. I also aim to increase appreciation of the important role that other people and cultural experience play in the development of human thinking.
Research Articles
Economic and technological changes mean that children’s learning styles, specific to industrialised societies, may spread worldwide.
