I research why some youth navigate major developmental transitions that all youth go through, like puberty, adaptively while others are distressed by such changes. I am interested in how these transitional experiences might affect mental health, identity development, and relationships.
What I want to achieve:
I want to do work that reduces the taboo and shame some youth (and adults) may feel about puberty, and create resources that can help youth and their support system feel more prepared to navigate these major life changes.
