About the author:

My research interests surround that of early childhood toxic stress. As young children have difficulties communicating toxic stress, the focus of my research is to better identify early toxic stress and understand how it is related to child development – such as self-regulation. I also research to identify targets for intervention, which often include providing support for the child’s immediate family and others who nurture the development of the child.

What I want to achieve:

My goal is to eliminate disparities in toxic stress for young children and their caregivers, which would help improve lifelong health and well-being.

Awards & accomplishments:

For my research, I was recently awarded Outstanding Dissertation Award by the Midwest Nursing Research Society Pediatric Research Interest Group.
