About the author:

Olivia studies children’s broad cognitive and social-emotional development during early childhood (PreK-3rd grade). She is focused on understanding how children’s everyday experiences – at home and school – play a role in the development of their self-regulation, metacognition, executive function, strategic memory, and mathematical skills. She is currently contributing to an intervention in local elementary schools treating children’s math anxiety.

What I want to achieve:

My research centers the experiences of parents and teachers in order to reach equitable solutions to ongoing issues in education – such as school mental health and parent-educator relationships. In doing so, I hope to empower school communities to foster resilience among next generation of students.
