Milica Nikolić

Assistant Professor of Developmental Psychopathology at University of Amsterdam, Netherlands

About the author:

I am interested in understanding how children feel in social situations, how they think about themselves and other people, and how these emotions and thoughts influence and are influenced by their social environment.

What I want to achieve:

By investigating how children’s inner world is shaped and how it shapes their own and others’ social behaviors, I hope to contribute to better understanding of the ways children may grow up being mentally healthy and kind people who are able to regulate their emotions and behaviors and adjust to the demands of different social situations successfully.

Awards & accomplishments:

The George Butterworth Young Scientist Award of the European Association for Developmental Psychology (2019): Binneal award to a young scholar who have made valuable contributions to the field of Developmental Psychology at an early stage of their career.
